My Journey

Kimberly Brown “Jamaican Fit Angel”

・・・
I’ve always been a slow learner, it took me a while to learn to tie my shoe lace properly, and here I am well into middle age ? and still learning lol.

But I love being a slow learner , it means I break every rule , make every possible mistake and destroy my ego in the process of failing my way to success.

Exercise is no different, like every other skill ( yes exercising is a skill) that I’ve acquired , I’ve made all the mistakes on my path to mastery. Not that I’m a master now , but I’ve managed to scavenge a bit of muscle mass along the way so I conclude that I have somewhat gotten the hang of it .

Not that the science of exercise changes over time ( I mean a squat is still a squat right ?) But every training session is an opportunity for me to either learn something new or develop or lose appreciation for a particular exercise or technique .

Even though my training sessions are mundane and highly repetitive, I find joy in pushing myself towards perfection, which is probably unattainable but my pursuit of the perfect squat form ( for example) has definitely contributed to my significant lower body development and overall strength. See I was so busy trying to be excellent at what I was doing it made it fun and challenging for me .

There is no finish line for me because it is not a race, it’s an intricate art piece that I can always tweak , I’ll never get bored because there’s always room for improvement and creativity , whether it be technical or simply just my mental approach .
